Meet Our Ayurvedic Dr. Sewwandi Radha
I am Dr. Sewwandi R. De Silva, a passionate and experienced Ayurvedic physician practicing in Matugama, Sri Lanka. My journey to becoming an Ayurvedic doctor began at Sanghamitta Girls College, Galle, where my academic excellence paved the way for my selection to the prestigious Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program at the University of Colombo.

Academic Foundation and Early Career:
After completing my six-year undergraduate program, I embarked on a year-long internship at esteemed government Ayurvedic hospitals like Borella National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, Lunawa District Ayurveda Hospital, and Gampaha Wickrmaarachchi Ayurveda Hospital. This diverse internship not only enriched my clinical skills but also exposed me to the intricacies of traditional Kadum Bidum practices.
Expanding Expertise and Professional Growth:
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to offer comprehensive care, I pursued further qualifications. I successfully completed an Advance Certificate in Acupuncture, a Diploma in Ayurvedic Beauty Culture, and a Panchakarma certification. These credentials complement my core Ayurvedic skillset, enabling me to offer customized treatment plans that address both physical and aesthetic concerns.
Clinical Experience and Professional Engagements:
Since 2020, I have honed my clinical expertise at my personal Ayurvedic clinic in
Matugama. Additionally, I have served as a visiting doctor at Villa Welmirah and held the position of main Ayurvedic Doctor at Nivarthana Ayurveda for over two years.
These enriching experiences have enabled me to build lasting relationships with
diverse patients and collaborate with reputable healthcare institutions.

As an Ayurvedic doctor, I am committed to promoting holistic wellness within the Sri Lankan community. I believe Ayurveda’s unique approach to health and well-being offers immense potential for disease prevention, management, and individual empowerment. My mission is to share this ancient wisdom with patients, while continually exploring innovative ways to integrate Ayurveda into modern healthcare practises
